Josh Hollywood, Marketing Officer from Ayrshire Cancer Support was onsite at Caledonian Bottlers on Wednesday 14th August to thank all of the staff for their fundraising efforts this year and to receive a cheque for £2022. The money was raised through a number of fundraising activities such as Roll On Friday, Burger Days, Whisky raffles and a Christmas Eve Duvet Day raffle. Considering the target was originally set at £500 this is a tremendous amount for such a small team.
Cal B also sent a team to The Ayrshire Cancer Support drop-in centre in Kilmarnock as part of their Give & Gain day. The team of 3 carried out work on their ‘Special Garden’ which is a small garden where Cancer patients and their families go for some quiet time. Some employees also volunteered at the Ayrshire Cancer Support Killie Legends Charity Match in June where they raised an additional £200 for the charity.
Josh Hollywood, Marketing Officer for Ayrshire Cancer Support, said: “We would like to thank everyone at Caledonian Bottlers for their efforts over the past year. The money they have raised will help to fund our vital services such as patient transport, counselling, and general support and advice for those most in need.”
Sharon King, Operations Support Manager for Caledonian Bottlers, said: “We are delighted to present this money to Ayrshire Cancer Support. They carry out fantastic work and everyone at Caledonian Bottlers is proud of the contribution we have made to this fantastic charity.”
